Robert A. Behar, M.D., board-certified radiation oncologist, founded Western Radiation Oncology Associates to provide patients throughout the United States and the world the latest advances in radiation therapy. Based in Houston, TX., Western Radiation Oncology Associates (WROA) is one of the few physician groups using radioactive seed implants to help cure prostate cancer, the new Photon Knife to treat brain cancer, and body radiosurgery to cure previously untreatable cancers. A board-certified physician, Dr. Behar's medical expertise has attracted patients from as far away as Argentina, Brazil, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Russia.

Dr. Behar and Western Radiation Oncology Associates have treated more than 150 different types of cancer.   Body Radiosurgery is effective in patients who have failed other conventional forms of treatment such as surgery, conventional radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Typically, body radiosurgery is well-tolerated with few side effects.
